2nd Annual Throwdown in Jtown!! Dodge-ball Tournament 2014

Hello everyone!!
Whoot!! Another great quarter starts with cherry blossom blooming on campus.
On April 27th, fellow JSA members went to San Francisco to compete in a dodgeball tournament. Two teams: Matcha Slugs and Sakura Slugs, played very well. Many memorable moments!

There were a total of 7 teams. Besides UCSC, there were two other colleges, USF and SFSU. JCCCNC, JCYC, and Nakayoshi also formed a group to compete in this tournament. Opening ceremony started around 10:40am, and games started at 11am. Both teams were eager to get on court and play. First part of the day consisted of playing matches to get seeded for the second part of the day. Intense matches went on. A game where we won without losing any team members. A game with head shots … People throwing bullets at each other, and in the end, a little match against the two UCSC teams.

Teams got reseeded to:
1. JCCCNC
2. UCSC Sakura
3. SFSU
4. UCSC Matcha
5. JCYC
6. USF
7. Nakayoshi

The highest UCSC went was to simi-finals, but in the end, we all had fun and was an enjoyable day. Here are several photos from the event :)
